The INTERPOL Firearm Forensics Symposium (IFFS) is the largest symposium of its kind in the world.
Law enforcement officials, public safety administrators, forensic science experts, and policy makers from around the world will gather for an enriching three-day exchange where participants share knowledge, experiences, and best practices in an effort to support further development of their respective countries’ firearm ballistics and crime-solving expertise.
Now in its 5th edition, this 3-day symposium will feature presentations, workshops, and panel discussions that focus on Building a Preventive Crime Gun Strategy.
This year’s IFFS will be held in Banff, Alberta, one of Canada’s most scenic destinations.
The Town of Banff is located inside Banff National Park established in 1885. Banff was incorporated as a municipality in 1990 and has a population of around 8,000 permanent residents. Being the highest township in Canada, it offers strikingly beautiful and rugged mountain views in all directions.
Nestled in a pristine mountain setting 750 feet above the Banff Townsite, the Rimrock Resort Hotel is considered the “penthouse” of Banff, offering comfort and luxury combined with the most breathtaking mountain and alpine valley views.
IFFS 2020 participants will benefit from discounted rates at the Rimrock Resort Hotel during their stay, starting at $210 Canadian Dollars per night for a single or double room (taxes included). A block of rooms has been reserved for IFFS 2020 attendees, but the number is limited.
To take advantage of discounted rates and to guarantee your room, book before April 2, 2020.
IFFS 2020 speakers bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Symposium. They’ll discuss their cases and challenges, as well as strategies, processes and technologies that have been successful in reducing gun crime.
